Voting is a civil right, hard-won for women, African Americans, and other citizens, and the foundation of our democracy. Millions of people around the world have no say in who governs them, so don't squander your own power. It is your fundamental right as an American, and the most basic means by which you have a voice in how your government works. By voting, you participate in a process that determines who will represent you, your family, and your neighbors in our Community. Citizenship means participating in the political process by being an informed and active member of society. |
