Petition: Prevent Commercial and Multi-family Development at Memphis Arlington Road and Seed Tick Road
Target: Governing Bodies for the City of Lakeland, Tennessee
Statement: The property located at the intersections of Memphis Arlington Road and Seed Tick Roads and extending North to US Hwy 70 should not be rezoned for commercial or multi-family uses. With its beautiful
tree canopy and the surrounding residential properties, this area contains one of the most scenic corridors in Lakeland that contributes significantly to the unique, rural character of Lakeland.
To allow commercial or multi-family uses in this area will be detrimental to the welfare of the city, its residents and visitors.
Your voice is very important. Although this petition is for a specific area of Lakeland, the general message applies to all of Lakeland and future commercial development. Please consider how this could affect you personally
as well as how it will affect our city.
We need your support too! Whether you have friends and family in Lakeland or whether you visit Lakeland to enjoy our parks and natural resources, you have a vested interest in helping us preserve the character of Lakeland. Please include a brief statement describing your relationship to Lakeland in the Comment section. (e.g. 'Friends live in Lakeland', 'Family lives in Lakeland', 'Visit Lakeland regularly for biking', etc.)
